The NHS long-term plan cannot be delivered without local authority social care and public health services working alongside the NHS. The Government’s social care agenda is currently under review, lacking a distinctive joined up approach with the NHS, however, local authorities are working in constructive partnership with tech and healthcare providers to redesign social care services around people’s needs.
